11 months ago By Sports Desk

Mclaren CEO Zac Brown recently expressed his ‘big concern’ regarding the sister teams Alpha Tauri and Redbull Racing.

Red Bull had a record-breaking 2023 season, arguably the most dominated season by a team in F1 history. On the other hand, their sister team AlphaTauri holds onto an 8th place finish in the Championship.

It’s reported that the Redbul had stopped upgrading the car very early in the season. Meanwhile, Alpha
Tauri has brought upgrades to the car till the end of this season.

With the upgrades giving extra speed to AlphaTauri in the corners, Red Bull’s weakest point throughout the season. Rival teams arguedabout howw far the two teams could go if any sharing of information took place between the two teams.

Addressing this the McLaren CEO Said ” The two teams have common ownership, which you wouldn’t have in other sports. They could benefit from it in a lot of different ways. There is a reason why they are moving a lot of their people from Italy. they are going to do absolutely everything they can to benefit from having two teams. I get that because that’s what the rules say. But I think we need to look at the governance of the sport around technical alliances
