“It’s not about money” – Max Verstappen clarifies Red Bull future after Adrian Newey exit

6 months ago By Sports Desk

Red Bull Racing Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen has recently clarified his position regarding his future with the team following the announcement of Adrian Newey’s departure. News of renowned Formula 1 car designer Newey’s departure has sparked speculation about the impact it could have on Verstappen’s future at the team.

However, Verstappen was quick to dispel any uncertainty and stressed that his loyalty to Red Bull remains unwavering despite the departure of such an influential figure as Newey. He said he is not considering leaving the team at the moment, especially as Red Bull currently has the fastest car in Formula 1.

Newey’s decision to leave the team was reportedly related to internal issues within the team, which led to tension behind the scenes. This situation has fueled rumors of a possible move for Verstappen to Mercedes, but the Dutch driver has made it clear that his priority is to have a competitive car rather than financial problems.

Despite reports suggesting a million-dollar offer from Mercedes to sign him, Verstappen insisted money was not the main factor in his decision. For him, the right environment and a competitive car are key, and he expressed confidence that Red Bull offers just that.

Acknowledging the importance of the environment and team support, Verstappen highlighted the work of the professionals behind the scenes who have contributed to Red Bull’s current success. He stressed that as long as the team continues to provide a supportive environment and a competitive car, he sees no reason to consider other options.

Verstappen’s steadfast attitude reflects not only his determination as a driver, but also his belief in the Red Bull team and the project they are undertaking. His statement that “it’s not about the money” shows his commitment to sporting excellence and his desire to compete in an environment that values performance and competition.

As the Formula 1 season continues, all eyes will be on Verstappen and his performance on track as he looks to achieve his goals with Red Bull Racing.
