Fabio Di Giannantonio: “We Are Working Hard, but It’s Hard to Be Like GP24 Bikes”

5 months ago By Sports Desk

Driver Fabio Di Giannantonio has expressed his feelings after finishing second among the GP23 contenders at the Catalan Grand Prix. Although he achieved an impressive top-five finish in the race, Di Giannantonio admitted it was difficult to match the performance of the GP24 bikes.
Di Giannantonio started the season with remarkable consistency, recording top-ten finishes in all previous races, including two sixth places. However, it was in Catalonia that he achieved a particularly significant result, securing second place among GP23 drivers.
Despite this success, Di Giannantonio highlighted the challenges he and his team face in reaching the level of GP24 bikes. He admitted that the difference in performance between the two categories is significant, and while they work hard, keeping up with the most advanced bikes is still a tough task.

During the race in Catalonia, Di Giannantonio showed his ability to recover, advancing through the field and passing some of his closest rivals. His braking ability and tire management were clear strengths throughout the race, showing his versatility as a driver.

Commenting on his performance, Di Giannantonio expressed his satisfaction with the result but also stressed the need to improve the performance in the first rounds of the races. He admitted to losing a lot of positions early on due to a lack of confidence with the tires, which highlights a specific area to focus on in future practice.

The difference in performance between the GP23 and GP24 bikes is a challenge facing Di Giannantonio and his team. While the GP24 riders are at the front of the field, the GP23 bikes are working to reach that level of competition. However, Di Giannantonio remains optimistic and determined to continue progress.
Looking to the future, Di Giannantonio emphasized the importance of being resilient and persistent in seeking better results.

He admitted that the Mugello Grand Prix will provide a unique opportunity to shine, especially with the support of the fans. Aiming to produce an impressive performance, Di Giannantonio is committed to giving his best in every competition.

In short, while Di Giannantonio celebrates his latest success, he remains aware of the challenges he faces in matching the performance of the GP24 bikes. However, his determination and promising skills show that he is well on his way to achieving his goals in the elite world of motorcycling.
