Brad Binder Confirms 2025 Factory Red Bull KTM Contract, Dismisses GASGAS Rumors

5 months ago By Sports Desk

Amid speculation over driver moves for the 2025 MotoGP season, Red Bull KTM Factory rider Brad Binder has come out to clarify his contract situation and put an end to rumours of a move to the GASGAS Tech3 team. The uncertainty follows comments from KTM motorsport director Pete Beirer, who refused to confirm Binder’s stay with the main team at a press conference in Barcelona.

Since debuting in the premier category in 2020, Binder has been a key player for Red Bull KTM. Last August, he extended his contract with the team until 2026, showing a strong mutual commitment. “We have already achieved and experienced a lot together, and we are very proud that he wants to continue with the RC16 and stay in orange,” said Beirer.

However, MotoGP’s ongoing “dumb season,” with big names such as Jorge Martin and Marc Márquez still out of contract until 2025, fueled rumours of a possible Binder switch to GASGAS. At the press conference, Beyrer mysteriously answered the question of whether “Binder” can switch from the “orange” of “KTM” to the “red” of “GAZGAZ”: “We cannot say who is in which position and on which side in. the moment.”

Those words suggested that Pierer Mobility, the group that controls both teams, could move Binder within the four MotoGP slots. However, Binder’s manager, Bob Moore, was quick to deny this possibility in an interview with Crash.net: “Brad has a contract with the Red Bull KTM Factory.”

Binder, who took KTM to new heights last year by finishing fourth in the World Championship, is currently eighth overall, just two places and eight points behind GASGAS rookie Pedro Acosta. His teammate Jack Miller is 15th, and Augusto Fernandes of GASGAS is 17th.

KTM, who have not won a dry Grand Prix since Catalunya 2022, are currently battling Aprilia for second place in the constructors’ championship behind incumbent Ducati. The confirmation of Binder’s contract with Red Bull KTM Factory until 2025 brings stability and focus to the team, allowing them to focus their efforts on the pursuit of better results and victories.

With this statement, Brad Binder confirms his commitment to Red Bull KTM, removes all doubts about his position for next season, and dismisses rumours of a possible transfer to GASGAS ech 3. As such, he remains a central figure in KTM’s strategy to compete at the highest level in MotoGP.
