Bezzecchi Did Not Hold Back After Getting Involved In Another Accident, Gets Angry

1 years ago By Sports Desk

MotoGP rider Marco Bezzecchi has voiced his frustration after being caught up in yet another race incident, this time during the Catalan MotoGP. The Italian rider, who has experienced back-to-back misfortunes in the last two races, did not mince his words when discussing the accidents that have hindered his performance.

Repeat of Austrian Grand Prix Misfortune

In the Austrian Grand Prix, Bezzecchi was forced out of the race due to an aggressive move by Jorge Martin, resulting in a crash that left many riders with no room to maneuver. Fast forward to the Catalan GP, and Bezzecchi found himself in a familiar predicament.

Chain Reaction in Barcelona

During the Barcelona race, Bezzecchi’s race day took a sour turn when Enea Bastianini clipped Johann Zarco, causing a chain reaction that sent Bezzecchi and both Gresini riders tumbling into the gravel. The race was subsequently restarted, but Bezzecchi faced further challenges.

Tire Trouble Adds To The Woes.

One of the major setbacks for Bezzecchi was his inability to use the medium front tire, which was his preferred choice. Instead, he had to settle for the soft front tire, a suboptimal option given the race conditions.

Bezzecchi’s Perspective on the Incident

Sharing his thoughts on the first-lap incident, Bezzecchi candidly stated, “Like in Austria, I didn’t see anything. I just got hit by four or five bikes. When I saw the images afterward, I understood what happened, but then my bike was not starting, unfortunately.”

Calls For Safety Awareness

The incidents have raised questions about whether changes should be made to the starting procedures at the Catalunya circuit. However, Bezzecchi, along with several other riders, emphasized that the responsibility lies with the riders themselves to prioritize safety, regardless of the circuit’s layout.

Determination To Bounce Back

Despite the frustrations and challenges, 5 remains determined to bounce back. He is scheduled to participate in his second home round of the year at Misano, and prior to that, he will undergo medical checks to assess the extent of his injuries.
