9 months ago By Sports Desk

Team KTM rider Brad Binder recently praised teammate Pedro Acosta as he reflected on the challenges facing MotoGP newcomers. In an interview, Binder shared his impressions of Acosta’s extraordinary talent and compared his own experience as a newcomer to motorcycling’s top class.

Binder, who joined MotoGP in 2020 after winning the Moto3 title and second in Moto2, recalled his own journey as a newcomer to the class. He recalled the initial challenges he faced, including difficulty adjusting to the pace and intensity of MotoGP racing. However, Binder stressed that despite the difficulties, it was also an exciting experience to compete with drivers he admired.

Comparing his own experience to that of today’s rookies, Binder noted that the competitive environment of MotoGP is becoming increasingly difficult for young riders. He pointed out that newcomers face increased pressure to stand out from the start, with the level of competition in the division reaching new heights each season. However, Binder praised the way Acosta handled those challenges, highlighting his outstanding ability and impressive performances in the first few games of the season.

Acosta, who achieved his first MotoGP podium in just his second race in the class, is considered a promising talent and has impressed fans and team-mates alike with his speed and ability on track. Binder praised the young Spanish rider, describing him as “really special” and highlighting his ability to control the bike and maintain consistent speed through the corners.

In addition to praising Acosta, Binder also reflected on the dynamics of working with an up-and-coming talent on the KTM team. He shared his gratitude for teammates who challenge him and motivate him to improve, stressing the importance of healthy competition within the team. Binder stressed that, despite the competitive pressures, working with Acosta represents an opportunity for growth and development for both him and the KTM MotoGP project.

Overall, Binder’s words provide valuable insight into the challenges facing MotoGP newcomers and highlight Acosta’s exceptional talent. As the South African rider continues his journey in the class, he hopes to continue to learn and develop alongside emerging talents like Acosta as he strives to reach new heights of success in world motorcycling’s premier competition.
