Marquez’s Crew Chief Drops Clue for COTA Challenge

11 months ago By Sports Desk

The 2024 MotoGP season will bring many unexpected twists and turns, especially for Marc Marquez and his team. Having switched from Honda to Ducati, Marquez showed his ability in the opening races of the season, but his team faces a special challenge in the next race at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA).

After impressive performances in Qatar and Portimao, where Marquez finished on the podium, his team is now looking to improve their skills for the COTA circuit. Marquez’s team principal, Frankie Carchedi, revealed important information about the team’s strategy for overcoming the challenges in Austin, Texas.

Carchedi shared on social media: “The next step is to start closer to the front and have clean air… step by step. We may have better race pace, but in a racing situation it’s completely different. To be at the end.” from the leading group leads to overheating of the front end. We were fighting for speed from the last corner and most of the overtaking today came in T1. Qualifying made things more difficult. The next step is clear!”

The announcement indicates that Marquez’s team is focused on improving its qualifying performance to secure a better grid position. They understand the importance of avoiding mistakes, such as the one that occurred during qualifying in Portimao, which jeopardized Marquez’s potential during the race.

COTA is a circuit that Marquez knows well and has performed exceptionally well in the past. With six straight wins between 2013 and 2018, Marquez is considered an expert on the Texas circuit. Taking this into account, his team is confident that this time they will be able to use their experience and skills to achieve even better results.

With a two-week break before the next race, Marquez and his team have time to adjust their strategy and prepare for the challenges of COTA. Determined to improve their grid position and make the most of Marquez’s race pace, they are up for the challenge.

Marquez’s fans are eagerly awaiting the return of their idol to action, and critics are closely watching to see if he can maintain his impressive results so far. With the team focused and determined, the race at COTA promises to be exciting and action-packed.
