Team Suzuki Ecstar rider Joan Mir expects the new track surface at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) to have a significant impact on the next round of MotoGP.

With the race at COTA approaching, Mir expressed his curiosity about the changes to the track since the last race there.Although Honda is still struggling at the bottom of the grid, Mir has been impressive in the first two rounds of the championship. He and young LCR Honda rider Johann Zarco battled it out for Honda’s lead, Mir two points ahead of the Frenchman so far.Mir stressed the importance of understanding how Honda performs at COTA, a track where the team has had success in the past, largely thanks to Marc Marquez.

The Spanish pilot was excited about how the changes in the track surface affect the performance of the engines. When talking about the specifics of the track, Mir emphasized the uniqueness of the COTA layout, especially in the first sector of the track.

He is curious to see how the changes in the track surface will affect the competition and how this may affect the performance of the different teams and drivers.Meanwhile, on the other side of the garage, Luca Marini is also preparing for the COTA race.

Despite the difficult round in Qatar, Marini showed a significantly better pace in Portimão, so he accepted the challenge in Austin with optimism.Marini shared that COTA holds a special place in her heart, with fond memories of last year. He is confident that this year the team will be able to move forward in a different situation and achieve positive results.

For Mir and Marini, like all MotoGP riders, the upcoming race at COTA is more than just an opportunity to race. It’s a chance to better understand your bikes, overcome challenges and continue building your project to success.

As the excitement continues at COTA, MotoGP fans are eagerly waiting to see how the riders will handle the changes on track and who will emerge victorious in this exciting weekend. In the world of MotoGP, where every race is an intense and unpredictable battle, being able to adapt quickly to track conditions can make all the difference. For Mir, Marini and their teams, COTA offers a unique opportunity to show their skill and determination on one of the most challenging tracks on the calendar.
