Morbidelli To Join Pramac Racing For 2024 Season

1 years ago By Sports Desk

In a significant shakeup in the world of MotoGP, Italian rider Franco Morbidelli is set to don the colors of Pramac Racing for the 2024 season. This move marks a pivotal chapter in Morbidelli’s racing career and sets the stage for an intriguing season ahead.

Formidable Duo For Pramac

Morbidelli, a seasoned rider with an impressive track record, is making the leap to Pramac Racing from Yamaha. He will be partnering with the current championship contender, Spaniard Jorge Martin, to form a formidable duo for the team.

Pramac Racing’s Team Manager, Gino Borsoi, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying, “It is an honor to have the opportunity to work with a champion like Franco. I have great confidence in him and his talent. I am sure that he will fit in very well in our team and that together we will be able to achieve great results.”

The Move

This move is not just about a rider changing teams; it’s about a rider with immense potential finding a new home where he can fully exploit his capabilities. Morbidelli, at 28 years old, has already proven his prowess in the MotoGP circuit. In 2020, he finished as the championship runner-up to Joan Mir and secured three Grand Prix victories. However, he has been seeking to regain that winning form since then.

Leaving Yamaha

Yamaha’s announcement that Morbidelli would be leaving the team made waves in the MotoGP community. The departure opens the door for Alex Rins to step in, further fueling the anticipation for the 2024 season.
