“Not any time soon” – Lando Norris’ frank response to whether McLaren can win races

10 months ago By Sports Desk

Lando Norris, the McLaren Formula 1 driver, recently shared his honest opinion about the team’s potential for victory in the near future. In an interview, Norris expressed doubts that McLaren could win the pace.

Despite being the driver with the most podium finishes in Formula 1 history without a win, Norris is patiently seeking his first victory in the category. He added that although the McLaren team struggled at the start of the season, they knew what obstacles they had to overcome in order to succeed.

McLaren struggled at the start of the year, losing control to the likes of Ferrari, even at the high-speed tracks where they excelled last season. However, team principal Andrea Stella is confident McLaren can look to winning opportunities with some key additions.

When asked about Stella’s comments, Norris bluntly replied: “Not anytime soon, that’s for sure.” He admitted that McLaren know where they need to improve and if they can overcome those issues, they can compete at the top of the podium.

Norris added that McLaren has a weakness for long, low-speed corners such as the Shanghai circuit. It turns out that although they can be very good at sprinting, these turns are a serious problem during the race.

Despite the challenges, Norris is optimistic about the team’s chances. He believes that if they work hard to improve in these areas, McLaren will have a chance to achieve better results and even win this season.

In the build-up to the Chinese Grand Prix, Norris and the McLaren team are focused on putting in a good performance and will continue to improve. Despite knowing the challenges they face, they are determined to keep going and strive for success.
