1 years ago By Sports Desk

Sauber has announced the new name for the next season, as Alfa Romeo ended their partnership with Sauber and left Formula 1 in 2023.After the Sauber-run team announced that their own name would return to the team’s title in 2024, Alfa Romeo is no longer a Formula 1 team. The Italian automaker Alfa Romeo had been granted the right to use the Sauber name since 2019, but that agreement came to an end at the conclusion of this year. The Swiss squad has competed in Formula One since 1993.

Sauber has unveiled their appearances for the 2024 and 2025 seasons that will precede Audi’s official arrival at the team in two years. At that time, the team will undergo a complete rebranding to become the German car giant’s new factory outfit for the F1 era with engine regulations. From next season, the team will be called Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber for the next two seasons, with Audi set to take over the team and rebrand in 2026.”The collaboration with Kick.com represents the most recent and audacious manifestation of our guiding principles.

Kick.com is revolutionising live streaming, and they plan to apply the same revolutionary strategy in the Formula 1 sector. The Sauber-run team had a poor 2023 season and dropped from sixth to ninth in the constructors’ standings. The team has a history of name changes, having raced as BMW-Sauber from 2006 to 2009, when the automaker held majority control during what is still the team’s most successful era.The team took the new name after Alfa Romeo announced their departure from Formula 1, helping the team take over the Audi.

The Swiss team is going to use the name for the next few seasons before rebranding with Audi in 2026. Which will also announce the German carmaker’s entry into the F1.The F1 Team Kick Sauber name was taken after the gambling company extended their partnership with Sauber and the Australian streaming company ‘kick.com’ bought a major stake in the team. With the German automaker buying the team, the Sauber name will now only be available in F1 until 2026.
