THIS New AlphaTauri F1 name leak suggests end of ‘Racing Bulls’ title
A recent leak suggests that the team formerly known as Racing Bulls (RB) is preparing to keep its name. This selection is expected to be officially announced next month as the team name and chassis name.
The official registration list published last December included ‘RB’ in the name of both the team and the chassis.
The presence of Visa and Cash App sponsors highlights the continued interest of American sponsors in F1. Credit card company Visa has not previously had a major presence in F1, but was involved in a hospitality and marketing program with Caterham in 2012.
Visa has a history of sponsoring sports such as the Olympics and Paralympics, the Women’s World Cup and the NFL.
Mobile payment service Cash App joined Red Bull in 2021 and is no stranger to F1. At that time, Red Bull boss Christian Horner stated that “Red Bull Racing has been a brand that has shaken the status quo in Formula 1 since the day it was founded, pushing the technological boundaries to build the fastest F1 car.”
Retaining the RB name provides continuity in the team’s identity and links to its history as the Racing Bulls. While this may be a sign of the team’s strategy to maintain its identity, it also indicates the team’s transition to the next level.
The official announcement of the name will create excitement among F1 fans ahead of the official launch next month. Fans can’t wait to see the changes and innovations the team will bring next season.
The presence of American sponsors in F1 continues to grow rapidly, driven by Visa and Cash App, highlighting the sport’s global appeal and ability to attract investors from a variety of backgrounds.
This development is not just a name change, but could also be the beginning of a new era for the team. Fans are now looking forward to the official launch, hoping to learn not only the confirmed name but also the strategies and objectives that will shape the team’s exciting F1 season ahead.
